There are many classic television series set in high schools--think Freaks and Geeks, Daria, The Wonder Years, and the O.C.. We're not saying those shows are dated, but its been decades since any of their stars have been carded when they tried to buy beer. This list is a round-up of teen dramas and comedies made since 2010.
These shows present a realistic (or at least less unrealistic) take on life in high school, with the emotional ups and downs, social issues, awkward moments, difficult social dynamics, and of course young love. We consulted widely with teenagers to gauge the realism of these shows. Or at least one teenager.
