These shows take their inspiration from the classic soap opera formula of focusing on relationships within families, friends, and co-workers, spicing things up with plenty of intrigue, romance, power struggles, personal feuds, secrets and lies, and periodically lapsing into sentimentality and melodrama.
Follows the dynamics of a dysfunctional media dynasty (think American Murdochs). Even better than Showtime's Billions (which is also a terrific series). The first few episodes are uneven, but once Succession hits its stride you won't be able to stop watching.
